From the Deep
Horror movies often feature fictional creatures, such as aliens, zombies, or possessed objects. Those are fine and good, but reality has plenty of inspiration when it comes to terror inducing creatures. Have you ever seen pictures of angler fish taken by marine biologists who have delved into the depths of the ocean? They should make a horror film about those hideous beasts. Why, we’re so fascinated by the creepy fish that we decided to make a costume based on the monstrous fish.
Design & Details
Our costume designers spent hours toiling away to capture the terrifying look of an angler fish. This costume for adults is what they came up with! The costume comes with a jumpsuit that has an attached hood. The hood is shaped like an angler fish mouth and, of course, the head features a big dangly appendage on the front to attract your helpless prey. A pair of fin-shaped gloves is also included to help complete the illusion.

What will you do when you wear this deadly fish costume? You can use this costume to create a spooky atmosphere at a party or Halloween event. Or, you could go out and find someone wearing a clownfish costume and just give them a good scare, recreating a memorable scene from a certain children's classic animated film! The possibilities are as deep as the waters this anglerfish here is found.

Height 4 ft 10 in | Size MediumSo, this costume would have gotten a higher rating, but the costume I received doesn’t have any bottom teeth like in the photo. Also, there is plastic ribbing along the mouth and in the dingle dangle but it doesn’t provide any shaping at all since it’s so flimsy. I removed it and replaced with wire, and also put wire in the teeth so they can be shaped. I am now having to make teeth to go along the bottom. Other than that, the costume is very cool. It’s stretchy so will allow layers to be worn underneath but definitely size up at least one or two sizes. The legs fit tightly around so length isn’t too much of an issue since they can be cinched up if need be.
I would only recommend this costume if you don’t mind missing teeth and a saggy head and wild dingle dangle (that’s the technical term, right?), or if you don’t mind amending it with wire and making extra teeth.Was this review helpful to you?
