Fly Around

There's just a touch of a fight over who is the best dragon trainer in the land. Sure, Hiccup got the whole thing started. Technically. But, if it wasn't for Astrid and her amazing talents, it's pretty likely that the whole thing would have flopped. Now, if your tyke is looking to step into the role of Astrid, there are a few things that we need to get under our belt. First off, Astrid is shorter than all the other Vikings... but quick as a whip. That'll probably work out great!

Next, Astrid loves to be the star of the show but also does her best to make sure her teammates know how to lift themselves up. It isn't helpful to anyone to just get the answers, right!? So, Astrid shows everyone how to figure it out for themselves. Pretty genius, if you ask us. It's no wonder that she took to dragon training so quickly. (Way faster than Hiccup, if we're looking at the timeframe, actually.) She's pretty much a dragon all her own!

Design & Details

If your kiddo has that special something that sets a fire in your heart, we can't recommend enough that your tyke get suited up in this officially licensed Astrid costume. It is a jumpsuit that is designed after Astrid's draconic battle armor from the third film, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. It fastens in the back and features a foam collar and a connected skirt detailed to look like blue dragonscales and a bone belt. The headpiece has foam scales and horns.

How Is It Up There?

Once your tyke is ready to defend the land thanks to this Astrid costume, you might also want to think about what kind of dragon is the right companion! We think they'll need some company up there. Deadly Nadders aren't for everyone, but a nice stuffed dragon—or a dragon costume for you!—might be the perfect way to complete the look!
