If we're hearing about the lady in black, it's not usually a super positive story. Either she's lurking on the edge of the moors or appearing on the side of the road on misty nights. But the lady in black isn't always the gloomy ghost she's made out to be. She might be cursed to haunt the world but she knows how to have fun too. For instance, after her stint haunting foggy roads, she can also be found tossing energy orbs with her friend the poltergeist. Or she often keeps herself busy scratching at windows and keeping innocent children awake at night. When they wake up and tell their parents, she scoots to the side of the window and belly laughs as the parents blame the tree branches. That might seem scary to us but that's just how the lady in black has fun.
Details & Design
This dramatic, ghostly ensemble is Made by Us, which means our in-house design team put extra effort into creating a look that's flattering, unforgettable, and will stand the test of time. The level of thought in the detail really shows up in the bodice. The princess-cut bodice is gathered into the high neckline. The long sleeves are overlaid with sheer mesh. The skirt also has a sheer mesh overlay and a jagged hemline. The costume is topped off with a black bonnet with an attached long veil that can be pulled over your face for an extra spooky feel!

Height 5"6" | Weight 160 | Size LargeThis order arrived within a few days which was great, but upon trying it on I noticed a couple issues. The material is stiff with no give and a little scratchy. The biggest issue is the width of the upper arms. The upper arms are so tight that I cannot move normally and it feels like it's cutting off circulation. Because there is no give to the fabric, this is very uncomfortable and if worn as is, it would possibly rip or I'd rip it off out of discomfort. I do not have large upper arms for my size; they are 13" around. It's a good thing I ordered this 3 weeks before Halloween and it's a good thing I know how to sew. I'll be needing to buy some fabric to add to the arms to make this wearable. On a positive note, there is a lot of length to the dress and sleeves so I could wear this with healed boots if wanted and if the dress is too long, it would be easy to cut shorter. The bonnet would be better if it had a 2nd layer of the mesh fabric, so if one chooses to wear it in front covering the face, there would still be a layer down the back.Was this review helpful to you?
